Soles4Hope Shoe Drive
April 1st – May 31st, 2023
Turn your shoes into hope for people who have gone through cancer, have trichotillomania or alopecia, or are burn or human trafficking survivors.
Hope & Olive has partnered with Funds2Orgs to collect your new and used shoes to fund restorative permanent makeup services for qualified recipients. For every pair of shoes collected, Hope & Olive receives funds to help clients get a piece of themselves back! We need your help to collect a minimum of 2,500 pairs of shoes. This will help us restore the confidence of some very deserving individuals!
Types of shoes accepted:
Mens, womens or childrens shoes of ANY type! Boots, sneakers, flip-flops, slippers, cleats… you name it, we’ll accept it!
Shoes must be in a pair, dry (no wet shoes!) and soles must be free of holes/damage.
What happens to the shoes?
They become an economic lifeline for individuals and families living in developing nations. Due to systemic poverty, lack of education and economic opportunity Funds2Orgs works with individuals who create micro-businesses, essentially small businesses. The shoes collected in countries, such as the United States, are repurposed. That is, they’re given another life and sold to micro-entrepreneurs for a small cost. Micro-entrepreneurs then mark-up the shoes and sell them in their local communities for a fraction of their original price, but still for a profit!
